- Tax Refund in EU -

Today i google some information about Tax Refund when shops in UK...

Follow the steps and you will get the refund... =)

Dala~ hapii Shopping ♥

Things You'll Need:

  • Passport
  • Store receipt(s)
  • Pen
  • VAT forms

  1. Step 1
When shopping at stores in London, make sure to ask the merchant if they offer a VAT (Value added tax) refund. This is London's sales tax at 17.5 percent. It's already added into the price tag so you only pay one price.

  2. Step 2
After you pay for your purchases, take your sales receipt to the tax refund office and fill out the forms including all the necessary information like your passport and credit card numbers for instance. The sales receipt will then be attached to the form. Items up for VAT consideration need to price over £50.

  3. Step 3
The form needs to be notarized and stamped by the store and then placed in the mailer for you.

  4. Step 4
Follow the above steps at every store you shop in that offers a VAT refund (not all, but most do). Collect all your forms and wait to present them to the customs desk at the airport before you check-in.

  5. Step 5
Aside from the forms, in addition, you'll also have to show all of your purchases to the customs officer too. So, get to the airport early so you can handle this before you check your bag.

  6. Step 6
If you don't get a chance to take care of it before you check-in, there's another desk after security check where you can present all your documentation and purchases. Pack all the items to show in your carry-on.

  7. Step 7
You can request for a cash or credit card refund. Cash will be given to you on the spot, but credit card refunds will take a few weeks. If you choose this option, then you just have to drop the mailer in the mailbox located at the airport.
